The Sign

We live at the end of a cul-de-sac with a wooded empty lot next to us and a wooded area behind us. Fortunately no one is allowed to buid on these lots. The set up make it PERFECT for kids to run, play, and have little adventures. Because it is such a great place to play, we usually end up with the whole neighborhood in and around our yard. It's been fun to get to know the kids who don't live in the cul-de-sac. However, they are usually older kids and don't have a parent watching them...which is usually not a problem...but I end up being the one making sure everyone is safe, playing nicely and having fun. My cute neighbor across the street called me from Hobby Lobby this morning and said she found the perfect sign to put on our front door, "Any kid left unattended will go home with an expresso and a new puppy!" It made me laugh. I love our neighbors, we really do live in the perfect place for us at this time.
