So my baby is 3 months old now and I still have about 10 pounds left (give or take 5...I'm not sure where I started). I've never had to work off baby weight, it has always just come off with in a month or 2 after having a baby. I guess the fourth time around is different I got hips out of it this time...I'm not sure I like them. I might have to start working on it. Here's the problem. I have 3 big down falls.
1. SMORES I found an old recipe that I love. I make them about once a week. The kids love them too. Let me share the wealth.
5 cups marshmallows
1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1/4 cup light corn syrup
5 tablespoons butter
Melt all together then add
8 cups Golden Grahams (I buy the big malto meal bag... just to have plenty on hand)
1 cup marshmallows unmelted
Stir all together and put in a 9 by 13 pan
let cool and eat.
2. Wheat Bread after Halle was born my friend brought us dinner...yummy soup and homemade bread. The bread was to die for, so I got the recipe. I still need to get that soup recipe it was way good! Once again I make it about once a week.
Bread Starter
3 Tablespoons instant potato flakes
1 cup warm water
1/2 cup sugar
Stir together and let set over night.
Wheat Bread
2 Tablespoons yeast
2 1/2 cups warm water
1/3 cup honey
stir gently and let it sit until foamy
add:
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup gluten
1 Tablespoon salt
1 cup of the starter
6 cups wheat flour
knead together for 10 minutes
Make 4 even balls and place 2 on a greased cookie sheet.
let rise until double in size, about an hour
Bake one cookie sheet at a time
350 for 20 to 25 minutes (usually about 22 minutes)
The recipe says to bake it at 375 for 20 minutes, but I think that over does it and it gets dry.
Enjoy
3. Exercise I've never been good at making time for it, and now with Aaron's schedule I'm having a hard time finding time when I'm not exhausted and don't have kids. I need to figure things out.
There you have my three secrets. Now I need to stop buying Golden Grahams and wheat flour and need to start moving my body!

I WISH I only had 10 lbs left. I am actually back to my weight before Max was born, but nothing is where it used to be. It has moved around and I HATE it. But I also still have the weight from the first 2 kids. Actually I think I gained after, not during pregnancy. That being said, I am lucky enough to have a friend who invited me to aerobics at the church building. It is 3 times a week and all the kids just run around and play. Our 2 boys sit in their strollers and watch. The other 2 days I have just been invited to go on 1 hour walks with some other mom, so hopefully I will have progress to report soon. With kids though you are right, it is SO hard!!! And it is hard to cut out the things they like to eat which aren't good for us because they enjoy it. Being torn, aaaahhhhhhh!!!!
Did you have to put the Smores recipe up there?? Now I feel obligated to my husband to write it down, and then possibly fix it...then I will be forced to partake....this no sugar thing has been hard lately! Love the new look!
P.S. You are already skinny as a rail!
I am in awe of you! You look great in all your recent pictures. I wish I had only that much to lose since my last baby. I know what you mean about the exercise though. Some days it is just so hard to find the time or energy! Those recipes look good!
Yummy. You are the master chef! :) I miss ya'll. If you were here, we'd have to make them and eat them together! ha ha
you look beautiful, by the way.
Thanks for the recipes. I don't know if you remember, but at my bridal shower several, several years ago you gave me a Zucchini Bake recipe. It is one of our favorites, so keep sharing your recipes!
