Yesterday was my birthday. 36 years old. I'm in my upper thirties now. How is that possible? It was fun to get phone calls, e-mails, text messages, and Facebook messages through out the day. I most certainly felt loved!
As I was reading all the different messages I realized that through out my entire life I have been blessed to be around good people and have good friends. I have never been tempted to do something the would compromise my standards or make me feel uncomfortable. I have never been in a situation or done something I wouldn't tell my parents about. Not because I am some super strong person, but because my friends have always been better than I am.
It was fun yesterday to think of all these friends and what they have taught me. They have taught me to dance, play, be silly, be brave, study, love country music, cook, bake, be a good mommy, sew, quilt, be patient, love unconditionally, serve, and a million other things. They became my family while I was away from my own. I have a piece of each of them in me and I really think I am better because of them.
I have lived all over the place and the Lord has ALWAYS surrounded me with wonderful people to help me, love me, show me the way, and be my friend when I needed them most.
For the past 12 years I have been blessed to have Aaron by my side. He brings out the best in me. He inspires me to be better and do better, to be stronger, and to do hard things. He strengthens me when I think I can't do anymore. The Lord loves me and that's why He gave me Aaron and all my other wonderful friends.
Thank you friends! Love to all.
